The Golden Bridge (Cầu Vàng) is a pedestrian bridge located in the Ba Na Hills mountain resort near Da Nang. Opened in 2018, it quickly gained international attention for its striking design, featuring a golden walkway held up by two giant stone hands rising from the mountainside. Today, it is one of Vietnam’s most photographed landmarks and a major attraction in the Ba Na Hills tourism complex.
The bridge is about 150 meters (492 feet) long and curves elegantly along the mountainside. Its most striking feature is a pair of giant weathered hands, designed to look ancient and carved from stone, as if they are lifting the bridge above the landscape. The structure was created to blend architecture, art, and the natural beauty of the Ba Na Mountains.
Located at around 1,400 meters above sea level in the Ba Na Hills resort, the bridge offers sweeping views of forests, mountains, and clouds. Many visitors describe the experience as walking through the sky, especially when morning mist surrounds the area. It connects a cable car station with nearby gardens and viewpoints, serving both as a practical walkway and a scenic attraction.
The Golden Bridge is located within the Sun World Ba Na Hills resort and can be reached via the Ba Na Hills cable car system. Entry to the bridge is included in the resort ticket rather than being sold separately. Visiting early in the morning is often recommended for clearer views and smaller crowds.
The Golden Bridge quickly became a symbol of modern Vietnamese tourism and architecture. Its unique design has been widely featured in international travel media and has helped raise the profile of Da Nang as one of Southeast Asia’s most popular destinations. With its creative concept, stunning mountain setting, and easy accessibility, it has remained an iconic landmark since its opening.
